It has been a month of new starts and stutters. I have begun teaching a yoga class. I thought I would also be in a teacher training intensive but that is not to be just now. Though each day I do learn so it is still forward motion. I was asked to blog for a friends band. I started building a blog, but my pc is contrary, slow and freezes like a scared rabbit. It frustrates and stresses and I get nowhere in trying to research and write. So I had to apologize and beg off. When I finished beating myself up over "quitting" I sat down on my mat and lent myself to some unbiased thinking. I know my decision was sound. I feel they will be better served by someone who has experience in music, other than knowing what they like to hear!, and who lives more locally as I live about 900 miles southwest of them. It would be beneficial to have someone who can attend some of the bands gigs which would allow for a more flattering and enhanced promotional format. I hope they understand and know that while I may not be writing for them, I am following and shouting out the " Scott Farley Band 3:1" rocks and rules!

This years fall equinox is on Saturday, September 22nd.
Fall is the time of year when you begin to gather and go within. In nature we witness the bluer sky as we transition into this new season. I offer these two poems in honor of the changing of the seasons: I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes ~e.e. cummings The Blanket Around Her ~Joy Harjo of the Creek People~ Maybe it is her birth which she holds so close to herself or her death which is just as inseperable and the white wind that encircles her as a part Just as the blue sky hanging in turquoise from her neck Oh Woman remember who you are, woman It is the whole earth |
