There was much to be thankful for this week. Monday was taking time to share photos from the past to remember Chad on what would have been his 37th birthday. From there just being thankful for all that fill our daily lives. Thanksgiving Day I ran my first Turkey Trot. A new developing friendship led to this. Afterwards Mark & I started cooking our Thanksgiving dinner while waiting for his brother to arrive. Smaller gathering but no less fun and enjoyable than a houseful. When we pulled the turkey from the oven and shifted it to a carving board it sort of exploded. No one seemed to care and it still tasted awesome! I included my hastily drawn face from #hundredfabfunface challenge I am in just because it keeps me accountable.

Today is time in my studio. I followed tutorial (Karen Campbell) for drawing shading face, #hundredfunfabfaces along with my morning coffee. Some things I am happy with on the resulting face, others not as much. I did it, it's done. Tomorrow I'll practice some more. This afternoon I poured some wine and began working on my idea of Christmas Postcards. Trying mixed media/hand painting. Cutting my own paper and cardstock to size. The two snowmen are my first. Turning out better than anticipated. Ready to try my hand with other designs.
