Spring arrived. Mostly with sun and warm temperatures which was amazing. Crocus, daffodils, poppies all emerging in different stages. Trees exploding with buds. Bottoms of my feet itching, which I always equate with wanderlust. I started seedlings for a salad garden. Our kitchen remodel we've talked and dreamed about suddenly became real. Vacation plans rearranged. A random text opening avenues for me. After a long period of quiet, now movement. The stove propelled us into motion when it died. It was electric, we wanted gas. Mark had to run a pipe for gas. He was careful , working around cabinets, mindful of drywall. As I watched it became apparent that taking out cabinets and drywall made things easier. Easier became a code word of sorts. It wasn't our plan for a kitchen renovation this year but everything started falling into place. Small at first, then morphing into much bigger. The entire kitchen has been stripped down to the initial build of nearly 70 yrs ago. Wall moved, another removed and rebuilt, two cut back and straightened. Cheap flooring stripped with a steamer so the floor can be leveled. Step by step things are moving quickly. All of our new components sitting ready for installation. I like that we are doing it ourselves. There is a certain satisfaction in that. But sometimes?.... I just want to ask for help.

I ran across a video of Caroline Myss speaking a decade ago which led me to read a couple of her books. I think she is a great teacher on spiritual matters. Though I'm not a fan of Oprah I did enjoy this video. |
