I need to work on my vocabulary, so I am going to try using a cpl of Merriam-Websters word of the day:
1.Antecessor (An-tih-sess-er) N. One that goes before
Example sentence: Literary critics hailed the first novel as a brilliant and ground-breaking follow up to famous antecessors in the genre.
2.Countermand (Koun-er-mand) verb a. to revoke (a command) by a contrary order
b. To recall or order back by a superseding contrary order
Example sentence: " From around the world postcards poured into then U.S.- Attorney Paul Charltons office demanding he countermand the order to prosecute." (Stephen Lemons, Phoenix New Times, February 25, 2010)
